Cooling problems we investigate

The cooler runs, but the room stays warm

A running condensing unit does not show whether the room is cooling correctly. We check the temperature controls, condenser condition, evaporator fans and refrigeration operation. Tell us whether the problem started suddenly, follows busy service periods or continues when the doors stay closed.

Evaporator ice and uneven airflow

Ice on an evaporator can restrict the air moving through the cooler. We inspect fan operation, airflow, controls and the conditions that allow ice to return. Repeated thawing can temporarily change the symptom without resolving its cause.

A fan, compressor or controller stops working

Electrical and control faults can resemble a failed compressor. We check the affected circuit and operating conditions before recommending replacement parts. Include any alarm, displayed code or unusual sound when you describe the problem.

From the room to the remote condensing unit

Walk-in service covers the connected refrigeration system: evaporators, fan motors, temperature controls, refrigeration lines, compressors and remote or rooftop condensing units. Let us know about roof access and where the equipment is located so access can be discussed when scheduling.

Have the equipment brand, model and serial number available if possible. Components in a walk-in system may carry different manufacturer labels; a photo of the relevant label helps identify the equipment. Parts availability and the repair scope are confirmed after diagnosis.

Recent work: cooler leak repair and maintenance

Our published Los Angeles service report describes a walk-in cooler refrigerant leak repair, evaporator cleaning and connection checks. It is an example of completed work; your cooler needs its own inspection to establish the fault.

Walk-in cooler repair questions

Does a warm cooler always need refrigerant?

No. Restricted airflow, condenser condition, fans, controls and electrical faults can also affect cooling. Refrigerant work should follow diagnosis; if a leak is found, the source needs attention.

Can you service a rooftop condensing unit?

Yes. We service remote and rooftop condensing units connected to commercial walk-in systems. Tell us about access arrangements when requesting a visit.

Do you repair walk-in freezers too?

Yes. Frozen-storage rooms have additional defrost and low-temperature operating concerns. See walk-in freezer repair for those symptoms, or the walk-in service overview if you are unsure which page fits.

Can I book an emergency visit?
